Ftlday, April at Guild House, 802M~r"e K i- By LANI JORDAN The Central Student Judiciary (CSJ) met last night to vote on the various sections of the new Michigan Student Assembly; (MSA) constitution which would give CSJ power to certify elec- tions, including the current MSA election, j The five CSJ members pres- ent approved legislation requir- ing the passage of at least five days between the end of an election and its certification, and established deadlines for the filing of election challenges by. candidates. The body also determined the number of CSJ imembers which must be present before an election can be cer- tified. CERTIFICATION for the cur- rent MSA election has been ten- tatively set for Thursday, April 15 at 9 p.m. in the MSA chain- bers. A complaint by MSA candidate Bob Matthews was brought tot 'the attention of the CSJ mem- bership. The candidate, who rep- resents the Responsible Alterna- tive Party (RAP), was incensed at not being ableto designate a non-University student as his election challenger. Election challengers are rep- resentatives of candidates or parties, and are allowed to re- main at polling places to observe voting procedures. -AT-LARGE REPRESENTATIVES (9) -CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS Pols open across campus to 3 p.m.) If , . - PUT ON YOUR DOORSTEP!
