This summer, we'd like you to think of Tech Hifi as
"The Hifi Show".
Where you can see, touch, and hear more of the latest
hifi eqjuipment than at any ordinary store.
Where you can spend as much time as you like talking to
hifi experts, without being made to feel like you have to
spend money.

Where you can pick up lots of brochures, and an 80-page
book about hifi.
Where you can learn about the finer points of hifi during
a summer-long program of audio clinics, seminars, and demon-
strations.
And where you have a chance to win a $7,000 state-of-
the-art Super System, just by entering your name at the Tech
H-if i store nearest you!

Her'swha mkes this Supe r S e so super.

Designed is high efficiency floror-standing speakers
with honest bass response down to 40 Hz., Electro-
V~ice Sentry III's combine a 15-inch woofer with a
mxathematically optimized vent, and horn-leaded
*-jdrange and tweeter drivers for extraordinary
.c~wtic output levels and significantly lower distor-
tion than staled speaker systems.

Phase Linear 4000
The Phase Linear 4000 is an ultra flekible stereo
preamplifier that also incorporates a Peak Unlimiter,
Downward Expander and Autocorrelator to hel-
correct the shortcomings inherent in the recordrn4
process. Noise is reduced to near inaudibility on all
music sources, while dynamic range is selectively re-
stored to closely approximate the original informa-
tion.

Turntable that provides the convenience 6! iM
plified automatic operation for up to six records,
with the superlative performance that comes frenri

motor. An excellent Shure M91ED magnetic cart-
ridge is included.

The P~rnte' o~c ea~-r-
Ohm C2
Like the Sentry III's Ohm C2 ioudspe~kers are
optimally-vented for predictable low frequency per-
formance, high efficiency and low distort iorn. These
bookshelf loudspeakers incorporate a high quaahty
10-inch woofer, a 2-inch cone tweeter and a I-inch
dome supertweeter for dead-flat response from 37 to
19,000 Hz.

The Noise Reduction Unit:
DBX 12246
Selected for use with the "TEAC A730, th'e PB
Model 122 eliminates tape "hiss" when recorinlg
live, and prevents additional noise build-up when
duplicating tapes or recording off-the-air. No Super
System should be without one!

Conservatively rated at 200 watts m'inirntmarnMS
per channel, both channels driven into 8 ohms,
from zero to 20.000 Hz., with less than 0.25%x.Total
Harmonic D stortion, the Phase Linear 400 Direct

speakers at toip volume levels without clipping - so
just try to imagine what it can do with the high-
efficiency s zakers ::, this system!

Technics SL-1300 T c nc
With its low-speed brushless DC -motor and sophis-
ticated direct-drive mechanism (the platter is actually
part of the motor), the Technics SL 1300 Direct
Drive turntable provides the ultimate in automatic
single-play operation. A girnbal-suspenided tonearrn
delivers outstandingly low tracking error.

The Po. 'atl?
MicroAcoiwstics 2002E
Recognizing the equal importance of tracking anId
transient ability in a high performance phono cart-
ridge, MicroAcoustic created the 2002E-a new kind of
stereo cartridge (electret design) that exhibits noti-
cably superior transient abilities and extremely high
compliance.
