"It's just a can of worms," he remarked,a"real mean ones." Vehemently opposed to abor- ' tion, euthansia and present birth control policies, Bubar' accused the federal government of fostering a "moral break- down" in the U. S. which, inI turn, has led to the present mor- al crisis. "G 0 V E R N M E N T to- day is subsidizing immorality with our tax dollars," asserts I Bubar "Many states now pro- PRESIDENT -- -___Y____ r0. vide all manner of pills and po- tions . . . which encourage a kind of barnyard morality to which our party is quite aller- gic." Bubar said he felt that the present educational system in the U. S. also tended to pro- mote immorality. "We feel no person can be educated without a knowledge of the Bible," explained Bubar, "yet, Playboy. - type literature seems to have more freedom in schools than the Bible." BLUE EYES blazing, Bubar related this "moral degenera- tion" to the increase in alco- holism, divorces, suicidesand sdrug addiction and said: "We've become prisoners of our own immorality." The former lumberjack echoed many familiar themes in his, condemnation of federal welfare and social security pro- grams. For both, Bubar called for a "radical overhaul" be- cause "only a minor part of the money allocated ever gets to the people who need it - too much bureaucracy." Bubar had especially harsh words for the plight of the el- derly in America. "It's right there in the 10 Commandments. Honor thy father and mother. Our treatment of the elderly is shameful - shunting them off to homes worse than some poor farms I've seen."
