HELMETS ESPECIALLY CHIC

By JENNIFER MILLER
With fall fast approaching,
it's time for all you fashion-
conscious men and women to
look to the "M" Club Souvenirs
to properly outfit your homes
"id bodies.
This club, dahlings, is just
The Most in good taste and
quality, and is certain to turn
your friends positively green
with envy.
The first thing we should
discuss this year must be the
new helmet rage, coming to
us from the fashion centers
of high European society.
The absolute latest has to be
the 29" high regulation Hel-
met Lamp, authentic-size,
AND with a face guard. Your
friends will simply rave!
For the apartment dweller,
this charming fixture also
comes in a petite 18" size, but

cluded. You'll have to buy those
yourselves.
For mother, there's a set of
exquisite Jumbo Coffee Mugs
which is bound to please. This
set of six has the Michigan hel-
mets glazed on the sides of the
white glass, and will certainly
be a welcome asset to any
kitchen. In fact, Julia Childs
was seen with one just the
other day.
In the aesthetically pleasing
colors of maize and hlue comes
two sets of playing cards, with
the famed helmet embellished
on the background. So attrac-
tive, and so durable.
Of course for real class you
simply can't hbeat this next
splendid appliance. It's a six-
transistor Helmet Radio, with
an official "M" helmet repli-
ca emblazoned across the top.
Done again in maize and blue
- we do like to be consist-
ent - it will fit in beautifully
with your home decor.
For entertainment comes a
simply enchanting aid which
will astound your friends. This
lovely idea is a stereo eight
track of the five greatest games
in Michigan Football history,
and you can listen to them over
and over. What fun. Rumor has
it that Jerry (need you ask
Jerry who?) bought one for son
Jack's last birthday.
The list of goodies goes on
and on, my dears, but we just
can't stop without telling you
about the elegant "M" door mat
at just $9.95. Simply everyone
in my neighborhood has at least
one, and I picked mine up at

ket. Rather nervy of them to
imagine we could possibly
have moths or mildew in OUR
lovely homes, but still a nice
idea. Reliable sources told me
even Jackie O. has two of
them.
The ultimate of course, is the
Michigan toilet seat cover,
which absolutely reeks good
taste But enough of gifts for
the home, it's jst as important
that you and I look nice for
those spzcial occasions.
Our fashion editor has come
up with some splendid fashions
straight from Paris. Apparently
all the high society folks are
just swarming to the boutiques
to purchase the "M" scarves.
Oh dahlings they're delightful,
a bright big "M" in each cor-
ner, and hundreds of little "M's"
dotted here and there just in
case you forget which team
you're supporting.
For a nifty fashion idea, we
recommend you buy several of
these, one for around your neck,
one to protect your lovely coif-
fure, and perhaps one for a deli-
cate little hanky.
For the cooler weather, a high-
ly fashionable little beret, with
a darling fluffy little pom-pom

HERE'S JUST A TEASING TASTE of what you can purchase down at the Michigan Athletic
Department to show your true blue colors. In the foreground is everyone's favorite, the "Go
Blue" knit cap with yellow (check that-maize) tassle on top. Look over the selection in the
shop at State and Hoover Streets for more deals.
