MICHIGAN QUARTERBACK RICH LEACH slams
into the Tartan Turf after being dragged down in
last year's loss to Ohio State. Leach is back this

season as a sophomore to lead the Wolverines.
The Flint lefty was a solid runner but an unpre-
dictable passer last year as the Wolverines finish-

ed 8-2-2. In the last game of the season, an Orange
Bowl loss to Oklahoma, Leach was knocked un-
conscious briefly but returned to finish the game.
