"1 have no designated time for
killing," she says with dead serious-
ness. "Whenever I have the urge to
kill, I do it." Pietrzyk attributes part
of her. spirited performance to her
youth. "I always played army with
my brother," she says.

that both resigned in protest against the

tian faith, as acting foreign minister.
Late yesterday, an Egyptian
diplomat said Israel has quietly halted
its controversial offshore drilling for oil
in the Gulf of Suez, an area claimed by
Egypt, according to an industry news-
letter.
Diplomatic sources in Cairo were .
quoted as saying it was unclear
whether the move was a genuine peace
effort or a diplomatic courtesy.
President Carter said Syrian Presi-
dent Assad's refusal to support Egyp-
tian Sadat's planned visit was predict-
able and that there was "always a
danger" such a mission would back-
fire.
It also was understood that the United
States had assured Syria that it did not
view the proposed Sadat-Begin talks as
a departure from attempts to seek a
comprehensive Middle East settle-
ment.
