Page Six THE MICHIGAN DAILY Sunday, September 10, 1972 r PESC pro gram continuesI (Continued from Page 1) Highlighting this term's offer- ing of PESC courses will be aj number of "experimental learn- ing" classes that will encourage student participation in commun- ity activities. A collection of courses will also be provided in radical political studies under therheading of "Po- litical Economy:rthe Study and Analysis of Oppression and Lib- eration." Students in "political 2 economy" will have a choice of a number of courses all of which include participation in a "core pro-seminar" on Hegel.; According to PESC spokesper- sons, the program's direction for the upcoming year is still vague. No group action is planned "un- til we see what kind of energy there .is," says Ron Alpern of PESC. Despite the PESC controversy last winter, Alpern says the or- ganization has no reason to ex- pect any conflict with the Univer- sity administration this year. "At this point no one has any confrontation on their agenda," Alpern says. He adds, however, that a group decision has not yet been made on whether to again pursue an open auditing policy this year. PESC will not seek LSA fund- ing this year as it did last year, Alpern said, but the programI may ask for funds from the LSA student government. Included in the PESC catalogue this term, are courses in com- munity studies, environment, education, and a wide range of topics in the humanities and the natural sciences. PESC will hold an open plan- ning meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. at its 332 S. State office. This meeting will be in prepara- tion for a mass meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Alice Lloyd Hall. The meeting will provide stu- dents an opportunity to meet PESC faculty members and find out more information. Women's courses set (Continued from Page 1) jects, readings and films.
