The Michigan Wolverines' base-
ball club, flying high after last
weekend's doubleheader sweeps
over Detroit and Eastern Michi-
gan, moves into Big Ten compe-
tition this weekend. Moby Bene-
dict's crew leaves town today
for doubleheaders against Pur-
due and Illinois tomorrow and
Saturday.
The start of Big Ten action al-
so initiates league play under
four rule changes. Thus far, the
designated hitter and aluminum
bat options have been available
to the Wolverines and their op-
ponents all season. Both alter-
