Once again, the old Democratic

It's because they really can't tell you anything positive about them-
selves.
Lost summer, HRP asked Democrats to join us in a petition
drive for preferential balloting on the Mayor's race. Democrat big
wigs, including Franz Mogdis, refused to support it. Preferential bal-
loting would have made a Republican victory difficult, if not impos-
sible.
Now the Democrats raise the old argument all over again.
The same one they've tried to use to elect such luminaries as Hu-
bert Humphrey and Marvin Stempian.
But this year, even many long-time Democratic voters know
they don't have to play lesser-evilism. They have a real choice. They
can vote for what they want, not what they'll HOPE they can get.
