hit ten straight points for a 66-52
bulge that became 84-68 going into
the fourth quarter.
The Bullets rallied in the second
quarter behind Mike Riordan and
Elvin Hayes for a 48-37 lead after,
falling behind 38-28 in' the first'
period.
Lanier, who had 24 points, helped
Detroit forge a 54-50 halftime lead.
Riordan finished with 18 points
and Hayes alded 17, but the Bullets
committed a home record of 33
