Packard's HP-35 does not have. For example,
it has a fully addressable memory which per-
mits you to store calculations for later use or
recall. It gives you answers in radians or de-
grees-a great help to civil and electrical en-
gineers.
WRAP-AROUND DECIMAL
When using the four basic functions, the
537 has what is called "wrap-around decimal."
When the answer in whole numbers is greater
than eight digits, the decimal will move eight
places to the left of itsdactual position, and an
overflow indicator will light up. To continue
your calculations, simply clear the indicator
light, note the number of places your decimal
moved to the left, and continue to calculate.
The calculations can therefore be carried on
infinitely without the necessity of scientific
notaton.
