Discussion centered on a variety of issues. At first the group concen- trated on problems of communica- tion with the various constituencies. A number of proposed solutions were brought up, including holding meetings at dorms, holding public forums, resurrecting the Michigan Student News, and requiring writ- ten reports from all appointed council employes and appointees. Discussion also centered on the merits of various methods used to elect members, whether the new 10-10-10 constitution works, and whether to retain proportional rep- resentation. -ow ATTENTON, Chairman Bob Garber (LSA '76) summed up the businesslike atmos- phere of the meeting when he noted, "if we're going to change SGC it'll take a hell of a lot of work." Garber added that he did- n't foresee the committee making any concrete suggestions to coun- cil until more thought had gone into the proposals.
