In the popular softball leagues, "men's winners in the various di- visions were: Residence Hall - Van Duren; Independent - Mooners; Fraternity - B e t a Pi; and Graduate - Delta Sigma Delta "A". In the women's divi- sions, the champions were: Resi- dence Hall - Stockwell "B"; In- dependent - Bombers; and Sor- ority-Chi Omega.rThe co-recrea- tional champs were the Hackers Row., In the minor sports, the Resi- dence Hall winners were: wo- men's tennis - Hunt; m e n ' s track - Williams; and men's AP Photo Bulky Badger Mike Vesperman (65), fooled out of his gourd by Dennis Franklin (9), makes the tackle while the pitchout floats to -Gil Chapman, who gained fourteen yards on the play. Franklin's shiftiness on the delayed-pitch option was a key factor in Michigan's ludicrous 35-6 rout of the hapless Wisconsinites. It's a spewing smokestack. It's litter in the streets. It's a river where fish can't live. You know what pollution is. But not everyone does. So the next time you see pollution, don't close your eyes to it.- Write a letter. Make a call. Point it out to someone who can do something about it. People start pollution. People can stop it. HOME OF THE BRAVES ATLANTA (UPI) - The Braves baseball team acquired its name in 1911, when the team was still in Boston. Originally the team w a s known as thetBoston Nationals, but in 1911 a New York politician gained control of it and gave the club the Tammany Hall Indian- head for a logo and the knick- name the Braves. The team re- mained the Braves when it mov- ed to Milwaukee in 1953 and lat- er when it came to Atlanta in 1966. - - - A I 11 Weekdays 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Shelia 763-4384 CHEAP JEANS from . 7.98 FLANNEL SHIRTS . 4.98 another location in Dearborn-565-6605 Thinkof it as postcards_ Inside this little yellow box is a little black car- tridge full of color film fit for a Pocket--a Kodak pocket Instamatic camera. But these pictures are better than postcards because theyre about you instead of faraway places with strange sounding names. They're big enough to write on the back of, put an 8q stamp on and drop in a mailbox just as they are.
