Figures released today by the Michigan Employment Security Commission showed statewide unemployment had dropped by 5,400 since February, bringing . the number of jobless persons to 615,900. In February, 621,300 persons were unemployed. IN MARCH of 1974, the state unemployment rate was 9.6 with a 376,600 out of work. The nation's jobless rate for March 1975 stood at 8.7 per cent.
