goodies and culinary delights, Daily staffers have compiled a CHEZ CREPE 328 S. Main

Good place for a relatively cheap meal although the quality
is decidedly unpredictable. A vairety of steaks are served,
cafeteria style.
BIFF'S 414 E. William
A great breakfast bonanza. The $1.15 mini-breakfasts can't
be beat. Remainder of menu is acceptable, but high-priced.
Open 24 hours for those late night munchies.
CAMPUS GRILL 808 S. State
Gutfilling, cheap food that is relatively grease-free.
DELTA 640 Packard
Similar to the Den and the Jug. Greasy food at moderate
prices but good for breakfasts.
FLEETWOOD DINER 300 S. Ashley
Reportedly serves some of the, best chili in town. Regularly
frequented by a weird clientele at odd hours.
FRANK'S 334 Maynard
Candle-lit tables in romantic corners Frank's ain't got. But
the food is pretty inexpensive and a cut above the ordinary.
GINO'S 105 S. State
Quick 'n cheap. Everything comes wrapped in, surrounded
by, and tastes like plastic. Standard fast food fare. Decor is
strictly 1984.
OLYMPIC 211 N. Main
Greasy food at reasonable prices. Sometimes open all night-
sometimes not.
MR. TONY'S 1327 S. University, 342 S. State
Here, you know exactly what you get. The pre-packaged
subs are unwrappedand magidally heated before your eyes. The
prices are a little less than normal . . so panhandle another
quarter and go someplace else.

This posh spot, housed in a former train station, specializes in Great moderately-priced Japanese food served in a quiet

Moderaly priced, highly-spiced Mexican food. Exotic drinks

A gourmet restaurant that doubles as a night spot for swing-
ing- singles. Specializes in fairly decent Greek food and not
terribly over-priced.
VICTOR'S Campus Inn, Huron St.
Very luxurious atmosphere, orange whipped potatoes come
with the $18 Chateaubriand. Decent food but astronomical
prices.
WEBER'S 3050 Jackson
Very expensive fare of questionable quality. However, it is
a favorite among out-of-towners.

BROWN JUG 1204 S. University
A beer and pizza joint with mediocre food. Open later than
most eateries, it features a sandwich-dominated fare.
COTTAGE INN 512 E. William
This Greek-style pizzeria has palatable food in every area
except pizza. Although most of the fare is pretty greasy, the
friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices and fantastic Greek
salads make this place a fairly decent bargain.

OLD GERMAN 120 W. Washington
Extremely ample portions of fantastic food at moderate
prices. Quaint Old World atmosphere.
OLD HEIDELBERG 21 N. Main

MR. PIZZA

342 E. Liberty

Carry-out service only. This eatery is housed in what used'
to be a gas station. Fair pizza if you can digest the grease.
THANO'S:LAMPLIGHTER 421 E. Liberty
Although the Lamplighter draws a crowd well-populated by
business types, the place doesn't try to sell its atmosphere.!
Instead, the prices are a little cheaper than mst. Try the
Sicilian pizza.
PIZZA BOB'S. 814 S. State
Features as many varieties of subs as there are days int
the month. Ono of the best low-budget repasts in town. And the
place makes pretty good pizza to boot.
THOMPSON'S 211 E. Anni
One of the best pizza places in town. Business is stictiyt
carry-out. The finished product is easy on the grease---a rarity
in these parts. They also deliver-beer.
WOLVERINE DEN 1201 S. University
A greasier version of the Brown Jug with an atmospheret
that is a mixture Big Ten football and Athens. One of Ann
Arbor's few all-nighters.

BLIND PIG 208 S. First
Features a quaint atmosphere and tasty soups, sandwiches,
etc. Serves only beer and wine. Bands are featured almost every
night in the basement where it is invariably crowded and stuffy.
Tie upstairs portion of the bar is usually quieter and less cramp-
ed and better for drinking, eating and socializing.
FLAME 115 W. Washington
Rather a dismal atmosphere. This is the local gay hangout
and one of the few bars in town tlhat serves cheap drinks. Usually
packed to capacity on weekdays and overflowing on weekends.
FLICK'S 114 W. Washington
This bar is not usually frequented by students. Drinks are
cheap and pool tables and pinball are the only entertainment.
DEL RIO 122 W. Washington
One of the most popular bars .in town. Good for serious drink-
ing and socializing. Live entertainment is featured on Sunday
nights only.
MR. FLOOD'S PARTY 120 W. Liberty
Usually attracts good bands and features live entertainment
almost every night. Drinks, are pretty reasonably priced but
conditions are crowded and on busy nights people are packed in
wall to wall. This place is also a favorite because of its atmos-
phere-which features Tiffany lamps, stained glass windows, old
photographs, a huge moose head and an oil painting of a nude
woman.
