The supplement deals with many topics not usually covered by the regular paper, which is published six days a week during the fall-winter terms. Many of the articles are purely information and are intended to help the novice both tolerate and en- joy college life. Inside, you will find tips on avoiding housing hassles, a restaurant directory which reviews both the local greasy spoons and the more posh eat- erie, and features on almost every conceivable aspect of student life. We have spent many long hours through the spring and summer months putting together our brand of an orientation handbook, which we hope you will find both educational and entertaining. --THE SUPPLEMENT STAFF THE MICHIGAN DAILY Volume LXXXV, No. 1 Thursday, September 5, 1974 is edited and managed by students at the University of Michigan.
