Mason spends most of his Saturday afternoons climbing or jumping over pyramids along with the rest of the cheerleading squad. "I've really enjoyed cheerlead- ing over the years. We're just out for a good time like every- one else in the stadium." WHEN asked about what he experiences while going through his routines,Mason wasn't quite sure. "During competition we're expected to do a routine which included ten back to back tricks and lasts for about 45 seconds. I begin my first trick and before I know it, I've finished my last trick. I guess my mind goes blank. Maybe I should say that it's probably the deep concentration on my movements that makes the time fly by. It makes me sound a little better than saying that I pull a blank. You know, no one considers us as being 'real jocks'." Right now Mason's mind is concentrating on the meets in Germany which begin tomor- row. "I think I have a score to settle after some other ex- periences abroad. You wouldn't believe the girls over there." But that's still another story. .: rn nNei1 SinO'S5 , 1 Yl.
