The business staff, working under the direction of business manager Ian Wright,
is responsible for keeping The Daily financially sqlvent.

A professional shop staff cornposees the paper, which is printed
on a Goss letterpress located in the building.

The Michigan- Daily is the student-run news-
paper of the University of Michigan. It is published
six days a week under a banner of editorial
freedom.
The Daily is composed of several staffs. Busi-
ness staff is responsible for maintaining circula-
tion and for keeping the paper financially inde-
pendent through sufficient advertising.
The editorial staff covers campus events as well
as major local, national, and international news,
providing editorial comment on major news
events.
Reviews of books, records, and local theater,
music and art events are written by an arts staff.
The sports staff places strong emphasis- on
Wolverine sports coverage as well as covering the
human and political facets of the sporting world.
Our photo staff provides coverage of local news
and sports events.
The Daily needs a diverse group of people to
make.it function. The only prerequisites for work-
ing here are a illingness to devote at .least one
afternoon or evening a week to the production
of the paper, and, for "most staffs, a willingness
to write.
Mass meetings for prospective staff members
will be held at the Student Publications Building
at 420 Maynard St. today at 1 p.m. and Tuesday
and Wednesday evenings at 7:30.

T hese decadent drunken debauchers are the sports staff. They pecialize in alliteration,
and, on occasion, 'turn out the best sports pages around.
