three-run homer highlighted a
five-run explosion in the fifth in-
ning, carrying the Milwaukee
Brewers to an 8-3 victory over the
Minnesota Twins yesterday.

NEW YORK - The Baltimore
Orioles, taking full advantage of
two bunt singles, a pair of bases-
loaded walks and two errors, erup-
ted for six runs in the sixth inning
last night and crushed the New
York Yankees 8-4 for Jim Palm-
er's 19th victory of the season.

Despite being hampered in
practice by the absence of three
key players due to injuries, Mich-
igan Coach Bo Schembechler said
yesterday the team will still hold
its first scrimmage Saturday after-
noon as scheduled.
"There's no way we can put off
the scrimmage," Schembechler
