Now you don't have to dump
phosphate into the waters every
time you do the wash. Wrigley sells
five detergents that are each totally
phosphate free. And if you like lakes
and rivers, that's pretty good news.
Phosphate is the "brightener"
in your detergent. But it is also a
nutrient. A fertilizer that feeds algae
growths. And we have dumped so
much of it into our lakes and rivers
that they are rank. Rank with green,
scum-like algae . . . poisonous red
algae.

But Wrigley already stocks 11 deter-
gents* that meet these requirements
right now. We also carry five deter-
gents which contain no phosphates
at all: PFD.; Miracle White; The Un-
Polluter; Spring Clean; Concern Liquid.
And they're priced the same as other
detergents.
Non-phosphate detergents
get your clothes just as clean as
phosphates. And they try to leave a
little sparkle in the water too.
