Store, and Michigan's Second, will open on Au-
gust 19, 1971, when the General turns the key in
z the lock. Featuring such items as men's slacks,
bell bottoms, trousers, Apache scarves, belts, shirts,
jackets and sweaters, jeans and vests.
"Our byword is Discount Prices plus Service."
The General said, "We can keep our prices ex-
tremely low because of our volume operation pat-
terned after the other outlets in this coast to coast
operation. As for service, we intend to make it
as easy as possible for our customers to stop and
shop in the minimum amount of time. There is
a large convenient parking lot behind the store,
and there will be plenty of sales people on the
floor at all times to make purchasing easier."
The "General," retired in February of 1969, after
being in business 25 years. "After my retirement, I
got nervous sitting around doing nothing," Nesbitt

said. "I heard about the California company, flexv
to headquarters in California to find out what it
vas all about.'
"The firm started in Los Angeles as a family
owned wholesale operation, but the number of walk-
in customers soon caused the company to convert
to a retail business at wholesale prices. When I
heard the success story of the company, I became
excited and bought into it," theGeneral said. "I
have Michigan exclusively, and my program is to
open 10 stores throughout the State. Lincoln Park
was my first store and Ypsilanti is the second,
because I feel there is a definite need for this type
of operation in this area. Besides Los Angeles,
Lincoln iPark and Ypsilanti, company stores are
located in many of the major cities including
H-ouston, Seattle, Dayton and Chicago."
