sounding recipe for Christmas
cookies from Detroit, surprising
Mark. "I wonder why she never
makes them," he mused. Ms. Bar-
bara Dillen agrees that "there
must be equality for women in em-
ployment opportunities. "I'm tir-
ed," she said, "of working for male
chauvinist bosses."~
1 c. butter or margarine; 1/3 c.

sifted confectioner's sugar; 1
tsp, vanilla; 2x/ c. sifted flour;
1/ tsp. salt; 3/ c. finely chopped
walnuts.
Work butter until creamy. Add
sugar and vanilla and beat until
fluffy. Add flour and salt; mix to
a smooth dough, Stir in nuts. Cov-
er and chill several hours.
Break off bits of dough and
shape into 1 inch balls. Place on
cookie sheets, and bake 15-18 min-
utes at 350 degrees. While, still
warm, roll in confectioner's sugar,
When cool, roll again in sugar.

MIX C: 1 e. water; 1f.3c. oil; 1
