Records go round and, round
as their prices go up and up

By MARK ALLSHOUSE
Have you ever wondered if comparison
shopping really pays off? A recent sampling of
prices 1at five campus area record stores indi-
cates that it is possible to save more than a
dollar per disc depending on where you shop.
The University Cellar seems to have the
lowest record prices in the campus area. A

spokesman for the "U" Cellar attributed the low
prices to the fact that the Cellar is a "non-
profit store," thereby having less overhead than
other stores.
In close competition for the highest priced
records in the campus area are the Liberty
Music Shop and Discount Records. Liberty Music
Shops manager attributed the store's higher pric-
es to "plenty of service and good selection."
