I _- Quad woman dies after short illness Tracey Taylor, an East Quad fresh- person, died early yesterday morning at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital. The cause of death could not be confirmed late last night, although friends of Taylor said she died of complications from an attack of double pneumonia. St. Joseph's hospital confirmed Taylor died yesterday morning, but refused to disclose the cause of death. ACCORDING TO FRIENDS,who prefer to remain anonymous, Taylor was rushed to the hospital last FriIay night, after she began experiencing severe breathing difficulties while at- tending a movie. Taylor's friends said she was placed under intensive care on Saturday, where she remained until her death. Taylor had gone to University Health Service last Monday, friends said, where she was told she had a bad cold, given medication, and cautioned to return if her illness did not subside. Ac- cording to her friends, Taylor went back to Health Service on Friday, at which time no conclusive diagnosis was offered. Taylor went to the movie that evening, friends said. "She was a really special per- son-really special," said one close friend. "She always wanted to make everyone feel comfortable-she was always the one to cheer someone up." Taylor, a Literary College (LSA) student who came to the University from Petoskey, Michigan, was described by her friends as a good student, interested in scientific resear- ch, German, and writing. According to friends,;Taylor's paren- ts arrived in Ann Arbor over the weekend, and a local funeral is being planned for next week. City Council reinstated without discord (Continued from Page 1) the mayor insisted with a grin. Belcher said he expectsibusiness to "go Very smoothly - I think we will get a lot of things done." One of the mayor's intended areas of concentration is energy conservation, which would most likely involve public information dissemination and energy preservation efforts in new buildings, according to Belcher. In contrast to Belcher's apparent op- timism, Democratic Councilman Earl Greene, whose party once again con- stitutes only four-elevenths of the coun- cil, predicted another "lean year for Democrats." Greene said he thinks Belcher "blows money just like that, instead of focusing on a few projects." The Second Ward councilman sounded glum when discussing his hopes for the future. "I see the south area of the city being developed. . but not with any in- tegrity. They (the Republicans) dont want to do that. "Housing may be built downtown," Greene continued, "but it won't be housing attractive to students, because it will be too expensive.". I bony black ft walnut or brass tone walnut.
