FRIDAY, ARCH 30
I'M ALL RIGHT, JACK
(John Boulting, 1960) 7TONLY-MLB 3
High comedy of petty intrigue in the war between labor and management.
PETER SELLERS is delicious as a stuffed shirt who heads a shop committee.
IAN CARMICHAEL is a naive and slightly addled worker in a peacetime
missile plant. To these experts, add Dennis Price, Richard Attenborough, and
of all people, Terry-Thomas as the oily mouthpiece of industry. "Sly British
gem."-N.Y. TIMES
A SHOT IN THE DARK
(Blake Edwards, 1946) 9 ONLY-MLB 3
Sellers makes a triumphant, bumbling return as Inspector Clousseau. Here
Sellers has a mystery on his hands, as well as Elke Sommer as a French maid
accused of murdering her Spanish lover (th6ugh she's apparently the only
one in the chateau who didn't!). If you think that's confusing, wait 'till you
hear Clousseau explain it! The best of the Clousseau series. With GEORGE
SANDERS.

British working class farce about a twit
(Ian Carmichael) caught in a struggle

all over the world, at Aud. A, Angell
Hall, 7 and 9.
A Shot in the Dark (MLB3, 9 only)
The first of many sequels to The Pink
Panther. Peter Sellers returns as In-
spector Clouseau, would-be debonair
crimestopper, who continues his battle
with the physical world - this time in-
cluding a pool cue and a pretty soubret-
te played by Elke Sommer.
Limelight (Old A&D, 7 and 9:35)
Charles Chaplin's last film, about an
aging, alcoholic music hall comic's
fatherly passion for an up-and-coming
dancer (Claire Bloom). Chaplin does a
routine with his old rival from the silent
days, Buster Keaton who, sadly, had by
then become an aging, alcoholic comic.
Spellbound (100 Hutchins, 7 and 9:15)
This features the famous dream
sequence designed by Salvador Dali,
staged in the mind of mental patient
Gregory Peck (no relation to Josh).
Ingrid Bergman plays the psychiatrist
who tries to clear Peck of a murder
charge. It's Hitchcock, but some find
the film unwatchably dull.

all men are Socrates." - Allen.
