Mark Houston, 19, was arrested at a nearby university three hours after the shooting occurred at the University of South Carolina shortly after midnight, police said. He surrendered without resistance after talking with his paren- ts. HOUSTON, South Carolina sophomore from Columbia, was being held over the weekend at Richland County Jail on two -charges of murder, said investigator Bruce Carnaggio of 'the Columbia police. "No one knows what led to the hooting," said campus Police Chief M. . Harrelson. "All of a sudden, he just pulled a pistol and fired a couple of times.
