McGEE, HUBBARD, AND BODNAR PACE ATTACK: Wolverines BY GARY KICINSKI The old adage that "good things come in threes" was never more apparent than at Crisler Arena last night, as the Michigan Wolverines rode the scoring touches of three players in conquering Central Michigan, 87-78, in the opening game of the season. Relying almost entirely on the out- side shooting of forward Mike McGee, guard Marty Bodnar and the inside work' of center Phil Hubbard, the Wolverines took command of the game in the early going and built up a large lead before falling apart in the closing stages. MICHIGAN AS a team was as hot as the Chippewas were cold during the night, shooting 54.6 per cent from the floor to CMU's 39.3 per cent. The Wolverines had little trouble with Central's 2-3 zone defense, as McGee and Bodnar, who scored 30 and 18 points respectively, were content to let fly from outside.
