Ex- cept for a two-year leave of absence to teach Organic Chemistry at North Carolina Agri- cultural and Technical University, he has been with Monsanto. Today, Bob is with our Agricultural Research Department. His work involves iso- topic labeling of pesticides, a job that is con- cerned with the safety of chemicals used on vegetable and grain crops. These isotopically labeled pesticides are used in researching plant genetics, seeking to produce higher- yielding strains of plants such as soybeans. Bob is also active in community affairs. He is a member of the Board of Commis- sioners of the St. Louis Museum of Science Bob Freeman. A fine example of that cer- tain quality we call "Monsanto Drive.'
