Opening with a meeting today,
the Women's Athletic Asociation
Golf Club is planning. on another
big year at the University.
The meeting,. at . p.m. in the.
golf cages of the Women's Athletic
Building, Is a preliminary to the
Club's tournament this Sunday:at
the University course. Starting
times for that tourney will be
given at the meeting.
The winner of the tournament
will be recognized as the W.A.A.
'Golf Club Champion and will.
reign throughout the. year. This
annual affair is the big one of the.
year for the women, who mainly
play clubs from other schools in
the spring.
Sunday's contest will also de-
termine who receives the 10.season
passes which are given to the Club
by the golf course.
After the tournament, golf itself
ceases until spring, 'but the Club
keps active through winter meet-
ings. These meetings are high-
lighted by a banquet.
Only club members can take any
part in any W.A.A. Golf -Club
activity, and anyone interested in
becoming' a member should be at
the meeting today.
