Skippers Otto Sherer and John Goldsmith placed second and third respectively in the Olympic elimi- nation tournament. The tournament winner was Ron Marshall of Ohio State. Shere and Marshall will now travel to Marblehead, Mass. to compete in the finals for berths on the United States Olympic sail-. ing team, which travels to Rome this summer. They will be competing in the Finn class (single man), monotype boat, and will be facing competi- tion from all over the United States. The Trials will also include four other types of boats in addition to the monotypes. * s WINS DAILY TROPHY: Heller Voted By OTTO PENZLER Ken Heller was named the win- ner of Michigan's top non-varsity athletic award yesterday, the I-M All-Campus Athlete of the Year. Heller will receive the annual trophy donated by The Michigan Daily for his achievement this year. Competition for the trophy was extremely tough and the I-M department had a hard time selecting Heller over top contend- ers Bruce Baldwin, Kelsey, Bill Nieman, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Gary Joachim, Gomberg, and Bob Mulder, Beta Theta Pi. The trophy he won signifies an excellent addition to the awards he has received for the past two years, that of being selected as the outstanding athlete of East Quad, representing Anderson '<>
