The Michigan Blood Bank As- sociation with the aid of the Uni- versity personnel office will open its rolls for new members on April 12. Membership is open to full- time or part-time regularly em- ployed staff members. If a man becomes a member of the Association, he, his wife, each of their respective parents, and all of their children will be eligible for free blood which can be ad- ministered by the American Red Cross anywhere in the United States. The donation of one pint of blood every two years is the only requirement for active member- ship. Any employed staff member who has remained active six years prior to his 60th birthday shall be considered a life member. A life member may receive all benefits. Many University staff members cannot make donations because of illness and age limitation. The personnel office has requested that more able donors express a desire to aid their fellow workers by act- ing as proxies at the blood bank clinics which are held twice yearly.
