Undaunted by cold, wind, rain
and snow, Homecoming partici-
pants seem to agree that the
weekend was the "Cat's Pajamas."
A skidding bed race, Michigan's
stunning 27-6 victory over North-
western and the capacity crowd
at the Louis Armstrong Concert
set off a "Roaring Twenties"
Homecoming.
Friday afternoon's activities
were reminiscent of the old class
games played during the days of
the University's first Homecoming
40 years ago, featuring a scramble
for silver dollars in a hay. stack
and a tricycle rally. Then there
were the traditional events such
as the "Yell Like, Hell" contest,
the Mu4bowl Game, chariot race
and the Little LeMans.
Thousands of cars streamed past
the living units to view myriads
of " '63 Skiddo" displays. "The
Original Roaring Twenties" chalk-
ed up enough additional points
for the Evans Scholars to capture
them top honors for the weekend.
