Portnoy Reveals New Organization

Miss Portnoy explained that if
a house is not ready to implement
the senior hours policy by October
first, it will not be forced to do so.
Send Letters
"The house must have the keys
and some plans for security
planned for it. Women whose par-
ents sent their letters later than
October first will be added to the
list immediately after it is re-
ceived."
Miss Portnoy said that women
who are in doubt about whether
they have the proper senior status
should have their parents send a
letter anyway, and it will be
checked into.
"Each member of Women's Ju-
dic will have four or five houses
to attend to seein gthe program
set into motion. There will be a
closer link this year between the
house judiciaries and Women's
Judic."
Women's Judic hopes that with
these changes the girls will feel
the responsibility and freedom that
the University feels they are cap-
able of handling.

Raps Record
Of Meader
In Congress
Thomas P. Payne charged Tues-
day night that "my opponent de-
clared in 1960 that he was going
to return to Washington and work
against President John F. Kennedy
and his programs. This he has
done".
Payne, Democratic candidate for
United States Congress from the
Second Congressional District,
spoke to Young Democrats at the
Union. He is running against
George Meader, Republican in-
cumbent.
"His record of the past two years
amply demonstrates that as a
stubborn obstructionist, my op-
ponent is consistent," Payne said.
"Meader voted against making
the Peace Corps a permanent
agency and a week later he again
voted his opposition to the corps,
one of the most popular and effpc-
tive programs developed by the
Kennedy Administration," Payne
said.
Payne said Meader also voted
against the corps when Congress
was enlarging it.
