He will speak on "In the Midst of Plenty." RICHARD J. DALEY- Wednesday, Feb. 17-Hill Aud.* As mayor of the city of Chicago, Mr. Daley constantly confronts the practical problems of urban poverty. A professor of Economics at Michigan State University, he is one of the nation's leading proponents of the theory of structural unem- ployment and an expert on the effects of automation on society. He will speak on "Men or Machines?" E9 IRVING BLUESTONE- Tuesday, Feb. 23-Rackham Aud. The Administrative Assistant to Walter Reu- ther, president of the United Auto Workers, has long been concerned with union activi- ties. He will talk about "The Political Voice of the Poor." VERNON ALDEN- Thursday, Feb. 25-Rackham Aud. The President of Ohio University was the chairman of the committee which helped to create the United States Job Corps. He will present some of the details of the current "War on"Poverty." WILBUR COHEN- Friday, Feb. 26-Union Ballroom The Assistant Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare is a specialist on the social se- curity system and its problems. He will be speaking about the "Young and Unskilled, Old and Ignored." RUSSELL KIRK- Monday, March 1-Rackham Aud. Author of THE CONSERVATIVE MIND, Dr. Kirk often contributes to THE NATIONAL REVIEW.
