THE MICHIGAN DAILY U' Receives Cyclotron's Magnet Core USED BIKES as low as $'995 BEAVER'S BIKE & HARDWA CYCLOTRON MAGNET DELIVERED-A truck transports a 310-ton magnet core for the Univer- sity's new cyclotron to the site of a new North Campus nuclear laboratory. Installation is scheduled to begin next'week for the giant magnet, which will be used by University physicists to study the nuclei of heavy elements. The cyclotron will be operational in 1963. 605 Church St. N0 5 energy cyclotron which is now located in the basement of the physics department's Randall La- boratory. Also being built on North Cam- pus at the present time is a new building to house the Institute of Scienct and Technology 'offices and several laboratories for it. 1ST is at present scattered in various offices and labs through-' out lhe Central and NorthrCam- pus buildings and at Willow Run Laboratories, which were incor- porated intot it by the Regents this year.
