THE MICHIGAN DAILY FRIDAY, MARCH 24, : Juniors Portray Jungle Politics Students Win Full Grants For England Two Michigan students, Hugh Witemeyer, '61, and' Jonathan Trost, '61, have won full scholar- ships to leading British universi- ties. Witemeyer, chairman of Chal- lenge, is one of 24 United States students to win a Marshall schol- arship, which covers all tuition and expenses for two to three years. He will study philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford Univer- sity's Lincoln College. Trost, president of the Inter- Fraternity Council, will study one year at the University of London, tuition and expenses paid, under the Leadership Exchange Program initiated five years ago between the University and the University of London. ITCARTSBA' -- Politics in the jungle is the theme of this year's Junior Girls Play production. An original musical satire written, composed, directed and Presented by women of the junior class, the play wll run through Saturday night. Other officers are Arthur Bar- nett, '63E, vice-president; Judith Goldin, '63, secretary, and Stanley Rodbell, '62BAd, treasurer. Under the ew administration the club is planning "to break with the traditional conception of a pep club" which operates only dur- ing athletic seasons, Miss Caplan said. It will sponsor an inter-state pep club conference at the Uni- versity in. April to discuss the function of the pep clubs on col- lege campuses and possible meth- ods of expansion. Guest schools will be Ohio State, Indiana, No- tre Dame, Illinois, Michigan State Universities and smaller Michigan colleges.
