As part of a special project in
music for area high school stu-
dents, the University's Extension
Service will form a University
Youth Symphony Orchestra and
Youti Band.
The orchestra will be formed
'Sept. 30 and the band will begin
operations Oct. 7.
Orien E. Dalley, a lecturer in
music and music consultant for
t h e University's Broadcasting
Service, will direct and organize
the Youth Symphony.
Prof. William D. Revelli, direc-
tor of University bands, and Ar-
thur Katerjohn, music director at
Saline High School, will supervise
the Youth Band.
Rehearsals for the two musical,
groups will be :held on alternate
Saturday mornings. High school
musicians must be recommended
by their school music .director or
a music teacher to participate.;
