John A. Hannah (R-East Lans- ing) and his committee hear the views on legislative apportionment from county officials all over the state, while further down the hall D. Hale Brake (R-Stanton) and his group listen to the pros and cons of a state income tax. Committee clerks and stenogra- phers hustle back and forth with a constant stream of printed in- formation. Comes 2 p.m. and the delegates return from lunch to go into gen- eral session. Con-Con President Stephen S. Nisbet (R-Fremont) presides as the delegates hammer out the provisions for a proposed constitution. After the session breaks up into committees again, often meeting after dinner and far into the eve- ning. The con-con convenes at noon on Monday and recesses at noon on Friday. A public address system lines the corridors to carry the proceedings out to those who can't come in.
