Using his original fifteen-page questionnaire, he queried local chamber executives and then re- turned to Lansing for two weeks to compile his information .and submit the results to the state chamber's staff. Haworth learned how vital the local chapters consider industrial development for the state and how concerned they are with pro- moting it.
