Harvard To Consider Policy on NDEA

ported by the national constitu-
tion and chapter,
Among the reasons given in the
resolution for support of extension
were that the Wisconsin Phi Del-
ta Theta chapter has been at-
tempting to comply with a facul-
ty ruling which bans discriiina-
tion clauses from campus frater-
nities, and that it is at present
trying to change the national con-
stitution.
EUGENE--University of Oregon
officials have begun a crackdown'
on university students violating
the Oregon state liquor laws.
Twenty students were arrested last
week for various drinking viola-
tions ranging from "minor in pos-
session" to "drunk and disorder-
ly," and this led to a pledge from
officials to adopt a "get-tough
policy" on statute violators.
Of primary concern to univer-
sity and state officials are those

misdemeanors involving persons
under 21 years of age. It was ex-
plained by a member of the state
Liquor Commission that the police
had been too lenient in past years.
