Working on the BUSINESS STAFF is the key for later em- ployment in yADVERTISING SACCOUNTING MANAGEMENT SPROMOTIONS SPERSONNEL' SSALES REMEMBER-your future employer will want experience, and the Michigan Daily Business Staff offers it to you. THERE WILL BE A TRAINING MEETING THURSDAY, MAY 3 at 4:15 Second Floor, Student Publications Bldg. 420 Maynard (in back of the Ad. Bldg.) ALL WELCOME Ferris institute (Continued from Page 1) In addition to practical, techni- cal, and vocational education the college proposed to offer and maintain general educational pro- grams for mature adults as well as professional education in phar- macy, commerce, and teacher edu- cation. Ferris deals with the student be- ginning at the point of his present educational competency and offers him a chance to move forward under careful guidance and in- struction. Campus expansion from 19 to 237 acres has been realized in the past five years while enrollment last year was limited to 3,600 stu- dents per quarter. With a budget request for the coming year of $2.9 million, an enrollment of 4,- 200 is estimated. In addition to problems of an overcrowded library and insuffi- cient health and physical educa- tion facilities, Ferris finds itself with the smallest percentage of small classes of any state institu- tion. Ferris administrators, imoreover, feel smaller classes are particu- larly important to the' job of di- rect counseling which the school endeavors to perform. Ferris maintains its long-stand- ing objective to minimize cost to the student. Accordingly, it has had lower tuition and presently possesses the lowest fees among the state colleges for campus room and board services.
