96I THE MICHIGAN DAILY w mwi WUS Drive For Studenets Nets $1200 World University Service raised approximately $1,200-an increase of $400 over last year-in its drive that ended Friday, Rais Khan, Grad, chairman of WUS here, an- nounced. Approximately $450 came from an auction held Wednesday on the Diag. Around $700 was raised by a three-day bucket drive and $50 was gained by a "sacrificial meal" held by Collegiate Sororis sorority and Trigon Fraternity. Savings from a simple meal were donated to WMS, Khan said. He also expects to receive more funds in donations from the As- sembly Association and Challenge and from part of the Michigras profits. The funds are used for student relief projects in all parts of the world. At the request of Student Government Council much of this year's proceeds will aid refugee Algerian students. The funds will aid these students, now in Tunisia and Morocco, to complete their education there or in Europe. i~rf :::": :{":: ___ ::os.a ..
