The Penn Relays will bring to- gether more than 5000 athletes from over 113 colleges, and an un- totaled number of high schools, grade schools, and independent athletic clubs. This gargantuan number of competitors will .parti- cipate in some 121 scheduled events during the two-day meet. Michigan will be represented by four relay teams plus six individ- uals including the defending in- dividual champion in the high jump, Al Ammerman. The relay teams. include the distance medley relay, the mile re- lay, the two-mile relay, and the. shuttle hurdle relay, while indi- viduals will be competing in the discus throw, the shot put, the 120-yard high hurdles, the 100- yard dash and the high jump.
