The team that Libel owner-
manager - coach - trainer- play-
er - big mouth "Duke" Okrent
started on Sunday was a masterful
conglomeration of oafs, nincom-
poops, cretins, and yellow-livered
lummoxes. But the opposition was
no better off.I
After a few revisionists tried to
oust old-time left-fielder Larry
Hochman from the lineup, ac-
cusing him to be soft on Czecho-
slovakia, they settled down to be
soundly beaten, 11-9.
Starring for the Libels were ace
third-baseman "Cat" Copi, cen-
ter-fielder "Horse" Herstein, tall
short-center "Gromper" Gray, and
utility man Woody the Janitor,
who swept up the infield.
Putting in choice performances
for the Reds, and egged on most
of the way by commie-coddling
umpire "Blind Bob" Neff, were
"Wheels" Chester and some big
red-headed guy named Denny.
The second game had not ended
when today's Daily went to press,
but usually reliable sources re-
ported the Libels to be leading the
Commies 11-6 after five inninggs.
