Americans Committed to World
Responsibility will hold its first
work symposium, "Peace Corps
and World Responsibility" today
and tomorrow.,
The program will begin at 7:30
p.m. today with keynote speeches
by Rep.-elect Gilbert Bursley (R-
Ann Arbor) and Prof. Samuel P.
Hayes, ACWR faculty advisor and
a member of the economics de-
partment. Bursley will talk on
"Youth Participation in Foreign
Affairs" and Hayes will discuss
Russian Club
To Celebrate
The Russian Club will hold its
annual Christmas meeting this
evening at 8 p.m. at St. Andrew's
The highlight of the evening's
festivities will be the Russian
Dance Group, which will perform
three authentic folk dances.

"Action Now on the Peace Corps."
Seminars will be held tomorrow
in the Michigan Union. The
study groups will be divided into
two types. Area study groups will
discuss specific countries and
areas of the world, considering
the history, economy, political
structure, education and customs
of the area. Issue study groups
will consider these same factors,
stressing the specific problems
related to the proposed peace
corps.
Issue seminars at 10 a.m. to-
morrow in the Union will concern
international health, education
and economic issues and the se-
lection and training of the peace
corps. Area seminars at 1:30 p.m.
will discuss Africa, the Near East,
Latin America and South Asia,
Interested students can pre-reg-
ister for study groups between 9
a.m. and 4 p.m. today in the Fish-
bowl. Those who cannot will be
able to sign up at the program
