The program will consist of In- terpretations of comic and tragic episodes taken from daily life and portrayed in pantomime by "the wordless wonder." Tickets are on sale at the box office. Purple Dust . . The University speech depart- ment will present Sean O'Casey's, "The Purple Dust," a "Wayward comedy," at 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 8-11, at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre. Tickets are now on sale at the box office. The play is directed by Prof. Hugo Z. Norton with scenic design by Prof. Ralph W. The Ypsilanti Players will pre- sent Tennessee Williams' "The Rose Tattoo," at 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Quirk Theatre on the Eastern Michigan Univer- sity campus. U Orchestra - - The University orchestra, under the direction of Josef Blatt, will present Hector Berlioz' "Roman Carnival Overtur'e," Bela Bartok's "Concerto for Ochestra," and Ludwig van Beethoven's seventh symphony at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The program will be broadcast live over WOUM-FM. Poetry Reading,. American poet W.S. Merwin will present a public reading of his poems at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday in Aud.
