EIGHT THE MICHIGAN DAILY RIDA The Ann Arbor Direct Action Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. today at the Friend's Center, 1416 Hill St. Judith Yesner, '61, said. The group will continue work on Rule Nine which forbids real es- tate backers from handling roles or rentals which contain dis- criminatory stipulations, and Rlue 2.14, the anti-discrimination by- law. She indicated that a Food for Fayette County movement at the University would also be con- sidered. Negroes in Fayette County, Ten- nessee were denied credit in cer- tain stores when they attempted to register to Gvote. The Negroes have had a, difficult time obtain- ing food and clothing. Weiner Quits As Manager Of Station Leonard Wiener, '62, became the second general manager of WCBN to resign his position in the past four weeks. Wiener cited programming pol- icy and scholastic reasons as causes for his resignation. He also mentioned the failure of the station's board of directors to con- solidate the three separate studios in South, East and West Quad- rangles. "The board felt that to con- solidate the operation of the studios would be cutting out people," Weiner said. "But the three separate studios triple the problems to the point where the job is too big for any one person." "I feel the present programming policies of the station are basically sound," he said, adding that board members werepressing for more special programs. Weiner said he will remain on the staff of WCBN but he does not want to fill any "policy mak- ing position on the staff." Jack Huizenga, '61, who resigned as general manager four weeks ago, after holding the position nearly a year, says, "The board is relatively inexperienced. Nearly all of them are new working on the network level this year.''
