Ra e In the New York Invitational Regatta over the past weekend, Michigan's sailing team came' home with its most important victory scoring 144 points while Boston College in second place compiled 135, Massachusetts In- stitute of Technology was third with 134. Skippers Timmie Schneider and John Goldsmith piloted Michigan's entries. Schneider's crew was Jim King while Carol Kiliger aided Goldsmith. Michigan is the first mid-west school to win the regatta in 10 years. Musial Cited For Comeback NEW YORK ) - Stan (The Man) Musial, whose: brilliant playing career appeared to be coming to an end four months ago, yesterday was named the National League comeback Player- of-the-Year for 1960 in the an- nual Associated Press poll. For regaining his position as one of the circuit's most respected batters, Musial received 55 votes from among the 183 , baseball writers participating in the ballot- ing. Southpaw pitcher Curt Sim- mons, Musial's St. Louis team- inate, was second with 44 followed by pitcher Bob Friend of Pitts- burgh, 30 and outfielder Richie Ashburn of Chicago, third place. Musial's 1960 showing dropped his lifetime batting average two points to .335. However, it boosted his hit total to 3,294 and his home run aggregate to 429.
