Hank Aaron's three-rtln homer capped Milwaukee's big inning and sent the Mets reeling to their 10th straight loss. A two-run dou- ble by Rico Carty and Felipe Alou's single good for two RBI, Major League Standings were the other key hits for the Braves. Bob Shaw pitched seven innings of no-hit ball for San Francisco before Ron Santo's bloop single leading off the eighth broke the spell for Chicago. Shaw allowed another hit in the ninth and ran his record to 9-6 as the Giants topped the Cubs 2-0. St. Louis rocked Jim Bunning for three home runs and defeated the Philadelphia right-hander 4- 3. Tito Francona, Lou Brock and Tim McCarver all homered with McCarver's shot in the sixth prov- ing decisive. Bob Bailey walloped a grand slam home run as Bob Veale sur- vived a streak of wildness in the first inning as Pittsburgh defeat- ed Cincinnati 8-6. Veale walked the first four batters he faced as the Reds pushed across three runs in the first. Cincinnati starter Sammy Ellis had a no-hitter going into fifth when Bailey unloaded first major league grand slam. the his Pitcher Mel Stottlemyre won his own game with an inside-the- park grand slam homer as New 1 York ripped Boston 6-3.
