Purdue has been saturated with a pair of wins over Minnesota for a 2-2 conference record, while Michigan (14) has been mixing it up with Minnesota in the cellar. The people in Pittsburgh are perplexed as to exactly where the Pittburgh's team has gone. "Gee, I don't know when the wrestling team will be back. I'm not even sure where. they are. I think they're still in New York," said a publicity spokesman for Pitt. Pittsburgh's team still in New York? They're scheduled to meet the Wolverines today in Pennsyl- vania. Pittburgh had a meet with Cornell Wednesday night. The spokesman reasoned, "It snowed in New York and people can get snow-bound for days. That's where they must be. I hope they can get back for your meet." Ready to Go The Wolverines also hope they get back. After a disappointing postponement of their Minnesota meet last weekend, they are look- ing forward to their traditional yearly encounter with the Panth- ers. Since 1950 the two teams have met 16 times. Michigan has an edge on their opponents in the overall record, having won nine, lost six and tied one. Although this is a non-league game, assistant coach Rick Bay said he thought the team's spirit would be high "not only because of the called-off Minnesota trip, but because Pittsburgh is an old rival and we want to beat them." Last year Michigan easily de- feated the Panthers 27-3. Pitts- burgh's record this year is 1-3. However, Bay warned that Pitt could always be dangerous. "Penn- sylvania is a real wrestling state and Pittsburgh has always been a wrestling power in the East. We're looking forward to a good meet." Pittsburgh, however, may have a subtle disadvantage. Dave Johnson, the Pittsburgh coach, is not a full-timer, but doubles as a dentist. "Mr. Johnson tries to watch the boys every day. It's hard sometimes, though, since he has no assistants," the Pitt publicity director explained. I ' 7:00 1:00 P.M.-12:30 P.M.- 1:00, A. M. A.M.
